While Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) forms the foundation of the treatment you or your loved one may receive, I also incorporate a Psychodynamic approach. This allows for a deeper exploration of how individuals and mindsets evolve over time and in relation to others—how we develop our sense of self. Growth doesn’t happen in isolation, and the process isn’t always perfect. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is helping people better understand who they are, which can lead to greater self-confidence, healthier choices, and positive habits.

With approximately 20 years of experience in counselling, I have worked within the NHS, providing both short- and long-term therapy for a wide range of mental health concerns. In 2010, I established my private practice, which has since evolved to focus primarily on the treatment of Eating Disorders.

I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), the National Centre for Eating Disorders, and B-EAT. I completed specialist training in Eating Disorders in 2008 and have continued to update my knowledge through annual training sessions. Over the years, I have had the privilege of training alongside many highly respected leaders in this field.

I encourage you to explore the NCFED page, where founder Deanne Jade shares extensive insights on Eating Disorders and Obesity. Her expertise is continuously passed down to members like myself through comprehensive and up-to-date training programs.

As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere to their code of ethics. As part of my ethical duty of care, I work collaboratively with other medical professionals to provide comprehensive support for recovery.
